Lesley began photographing in her teenage years and turned her passion for photography into a career. She received a Bachelors degree in Photography through the University of Hartford, Hartford Art School in 2000. Since then, Lesley has taken a sincere interest in people, culture, environments, and capturing moments in time. The fine-art print is an important process to the whole process as well. Her goal as a photographer is to bring awareness to viewers of the differences and likenesses we all possess as people.
In the spring of 2009, Lesley had the opportunity to open her own photography gallery in Austin, TX. Her hopes were to revitalize photography as an art medium, and to promote “the print” and high caliber of photographers in Texas and beyond. As one of the few photography galleries in Austin, it housed a wide array of genres, focusing on black and white; fine art; documentary; and alternative process. L. Nowlin Gallery closed it’s doors after two years of business. Here are a few of the photographers that were exhibited:
